PointAsia launches financial web portal - Services aimed at
corporate users, Bangkok Post

PointAsia
.Com (Thailand) has launched its fnWEB.com subsidiary to set up
a financial portal site for corporate users.
FnWEB.com
has 10 million baht in registered capital and a staff of 10, which
includes a financial analysis team and a news team to contribute
articles and in-depth reports, according to fnWEB.com CEO Darunee
Itthiputh.
FnWEB.com
is now offering financial information services for free as part
of a two-month trial. The service provides financial information
from various sources in the country on areas such as equities and
mutual funds.
Also
offered are advice, financial research and analysis, live chat and
video broadcasts with business people as well as a business center
for listing events.
"It
is the first financial resource center in Thailand," claimed Ms
Darunee.
In
the next few months, the company will offer a consumer financial
assistance service, allowing customers to manage their finances.
An
online trading service and investment forum is planned for the site's
second phase.

content is currently in English but the company plans to add a Thai
version next month followed by Indonesian and Arabic sites.
The
investment and services fees have not yet been announced, but Ms
Darunee said customers will be charged according to the service
either annually or monthly.
The
target market is private banking clients, fund managers, investment
bankers, entrepreneurs and financial institutions.

is the latest subsidiary of PointAsia.com, which is the parent of
Loxley Information Service (Loxinfo). Other recent subsidiaries
include Siam Service.Com, Bex.Com (Thailand) and ISP in Indonesia.
